What Carterie processes
We process your Shopify shop domain, app configuration, chosen products, language settings and authenticated app sessions to provide your cart editor and publish your configuration. Shopify access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest. Authenticated staff session details may be included in encrypted session records.
Customer carts are handled directly by Shopify. Carterie does not copy customer names, addresses, emails, orders, payment details or cart contents to its application database. We do not use advertising trackers, sell personal data or place analytics cookies on your storefront.
Hosting and retention
The app runs on Cloudflare Workers. Configuration and encrypted sessions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database with an EU jurisdiction. Cloudflare may process requests globally to deliver the service. Shopify delivers theme-extension assets and operates carts, discounts and checkout.
On uninstall, access sessions are deleted and retained app settings are scheduled for deletion within 48 hours. Shopify shop-erasure webhooks delete remaining settings and sessions. Operational errors are recorded without tokens or buyer records; webhook receipt metadata is retained for no more than seven days.
Your choices
You can change your configuration, disable the theme embed, or uninstall Carterie from Shopify. Contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of app data or to ask about data protection. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.
